There has never been a more important time to grow your knowledge about mental health. We know that your
mental health is as important as your physical health. At HD we pride ourselves in offering several different
mental health courses. All of our courses are interactive and delivered by expert facilitators with lived experience.

We can deliver bespoke learning, awareness courses and a range of qualifications for Mental Health First Aiders. All training can be delivered in your place of work or you can attend at one of our open courses.

Detailed below are the range of qualifications that we offer;

Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health (SQCF Level 4) -1/2 day suitable for anyone at any level

Level 2 Award in First Aid for Youth Mental Health (SQCF Level 5)- suitable for anyone who connects with children
​​

Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health (SQCF Level 5) - 1 day - for those who want a greater, more in-depth knowledge and understanding and how to signpost individuals. In addition, will learn about the first-aid action plan for mental health
​​​

Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (SQCF Level 6) - 2 days. In addition to the level 2 award, learners will be able to put it in place and understand how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace. Ideal for those in a management or ambassador/workplace champion role.

Participation and assessment in these courses mean you will achieve a regulated qualification. This is more than a certificate of attendance. The Awarding Organisation is regulated by both Ofqual and SQA.

DISCLAIMER - Please note that attendance at this course will not enable learners to diagnose or treat mental health conditions as this can only be carried out by a healthcare professional. Learners will gain the knowledge to identify when a person may have a condition and know where they can go to get help.

​All qualifications are valid for three years from the date of achievement. All our courses can be delivered in a variety of different ways. Some courses might have to be delivered in the classroom if there is a specific practical observation that would need to be carried out to achieve the standards of the qualification.

This introductory course on neurodiversity is designed to provide a foundational understanding of the concept, the different types of neurodivergence, and the importance of fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all individuals.
