Fire Safety

The qualification is suitable for a person responsible in the workplace to undertake fire safety requirements. It will provide learners with the knowledge to carry out designated duties as a fire warden/marshal.

 

The qualification will also increase fire safety awareness for all employees covering fire hazards, risk assessment, control of fire in the workplace, and duties of both employers and employees.

 

This qualification is regulated in the UK and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA). FAA are an awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual and SQA

The course will cover 4 key modules:

​

• Hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace

• How fire risk is controlled in the workplace

• The principles and practice of fire safety management at work

• Understand the role of the nominated fire warden

• Fire extinguisher knowledge and practical

​

​This qualification is valid for 3 years and a requalification will be required.
