This session provides principles and procedures of medication administration. Learners consider the legislation and guidance surrounding medicines administration, including requirements for storage and the importance of record keeping. We provide knowledge about the 'Rights' of administration, types, forms, and routes of administration.
Each delegate will have a workbook that must be completed as part of the assessment, in addition, the learner will need to have a signed observation carried out in the place of work to achieve the certification. Once HD has received this, a full certificate will be issued, if this is not received, a certificate for completing the knowledge aspects will only be issued.
